Queen Elizabeth discount 1st Mosaic

I was inspired to make this mosaic while looking through a book of costumes through history.

The face is plaster of Paris, made in a mold which was given to me by a friend who once worked in a Barbie doll factory in Sri Lanka.

This actual piece has been sold, but I can make one for you almost exactly the same, if you are happy to wait approximately 10 days.

It has been lovingly created from up-cycled vintage china, ceramics and glass tesserae tiles, in a shallow ply wood tray of plaster.
Salvaged discount broken pottery of different depths have been used, creating a slightly uneven surface, adding to the attractive relief effect.
The sides and back are painted black, with a hook on the back for hanging.
