The Broad discount Los Angeles - Architecture Abstracts

The Broad Museum in Los Angeles sits next door to the Disney Concert Hall. It could not be more different. This shot shows the sharp 90° angles and the ovoid divots in the exterior at sunrise, as the sun casts a shadow perfectly matching the shape of the building.
Architecture can be looked at in so many ways. I choose to see the details, the shapes and negative space the architect has created. I have always been interested in the use of negative space as a design element. Architects start with empty space, then create a solid form that fills the air above us, the land around us. Each creation is a unique shape and form that fills space but leaves sky, ground, and areas between buildings to allow their design to be seen.

Frame is for display purposes only. You can find a pre-made frame at your local stores or use an experienced framer for the best results.
