This is a handsome lamp but I suspect there have been changes to it over the years, primarily the base. Now, the base of the milk glass itself has discount a notch where the cord should go. The base itself and the metal part near the socket have been painted over with a brushed gold paint, some of which is still on the milk glass base. The base does not look original and is the kind of bse that allows for a bottom light bulb to go through and light the bottom portion of a lamp, which this lamp does not have the capability of doing. Allin all a nice looking lamp.
Lamp in it's entirety is 22" tall. The globe is 25" in circumference and weighs 2.1 pounds. The chimney is 10" tall and weighs 1.10 pounds. Lamp itself without globe or chimney/hurricane is 13 1/2" tall.
