Elegant handmade book, traditionally bound, hand-sewn, in warm wood discount and brown leather. Journal, sketchbook, diary.

A fine hand-made blank book. I do traditional Smyth-sewn bindings, with hand-sewn signatures. This binding is sewn on Belgian linen bands. The paper is Strathmore 60 lb drawing paper, acid-free. The book-block has two multicolored woven silk headbands.

The boards are fine-grain thin mahogany plywood. They are unstained, because the natural wood color is so beautiful. But the wood does have two coats of protective varnish. The edges of the wood and the corners have been sandpapered down to a gentle rounded shape.

The wood is covered around the spine with brown cowhide. This book is a delight to feel in your hands, and to use. I am very hard on the books I make for myself, so I make 'em tough. This book will last for years, with minimal care.
