This hand knit scarf is a one-of-a kind creation. It is made from our beautiful llama, Pete. See his photo above. This scarf is super soft and lofty. The yarn is undyed, natural llama and is mill spun. The scarf measures 6 inches wide and 78 inches in length and contains 200 yards of yarn. Soft, warm and flattering, this scarf is made of 100% natural llama fiber. Llama fiber is exceptionally soft and warm. The yarn is a glossy black and has a very nice hand. The neutral color of the scarf will accentuate any color in your wardrobe and is suitable for both men and women. The scarf is in a double knit rib stitch pattern, giving it an open lacy design that it is finished and identical on both sides. This scarf will not feel scratchy against your skin as most sheep wools will do.

Llama fiber is technically not wool. It is a hollow core fiber making it warmer and lighter in weight than sheep wool. Because llama fiber has no lanolin and is hypoallergenic, it can be worn by people who normally can't wear sheep wool. Llama fiber also shrinks very little during washing, but it's still recommended that you hand wash your scarf, press out the moisture in a rolled towel, and lay flat to dry. This way your scarf will bring you many years of comfort and enjoyment.
