Stylized double axes such as this one, consecrated shrines in homes and palaces.
Full-sized double axes were used by priests to kill sacrificial bulls in ceremonies to propitiate Zeus.
This unique item is cast in solid bronze with verdigris patina and mounted on a black Greek marble base.
