This piece was inspired by a passage in “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert: “It seems to me that the less I fight my fear, the less it fights back. If I can relax, fear relaxes too. In fact I cordially invite fear to come along with me everywhere I go.”

I find discount it really freeing to realize that the less we try to control our fear or push it away, the less it will try to control us. On any new adventure Fear is a built-in travel companion, so we might as well make friends with it.
