Antique discount Grain Sack Stocking/Primitive Christmas Stocking

This charming stocking was made from a lovely shabby white stripe grain sack dating late 1800's. The sack is a lovely off white with fabulous large patch near the opening on one side of the stocking. The reverse side is from then same grain sack and has wonderful areas of hand stitching that kept the two halves of the sack together. The top of the stocking shows off all discount the original stiching from the opening of the sack.
The stocking is so soft and is a medium in weight and is full of authentic character and charm. They are perfect for any primitive, farmhouse or cottage style decorating for Christmas.

I wash and press the grain sacks before sewing.

Approximate size: 26" tall X 9" wide at the opening of the stocking. (29" long with hanging loop)
