We are so excited to bring you two Lensey 1960's toy vehicles to choose from, in absolutely gorgeous shape. Normally when you see toys of this age *1962* they are "well loved" and borderline abused...lol by all the kids hands that these discount toys would have seen since they were made. Lesney is one of the most collectible names in the toy industry. Made in England these are cast metal * not cheap plastic* and they stand up to the test of wear, tear and time. If we had the boxes for these, hard core collectors would be clamoring to get these two fine examples of Lesney quality.
We have them listed as L1 & L2, as there are some differences in paint wear between the two. I would guess the grading on these is c+ to B+. The trailers have the marks, but there are no significant scratches or broken parts, only minimal wear. The green tinted windows, along with the grey wheels lets you know these are an M-8 first version, as later version had the clear glass windows, and these were a very short production run, from 1962 to 1963.
We are sending half of the proceeds from the sale of these two items to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
These would make a great gift, or a starter piece to a collection.
